Controller

Data categories and purposes

Wortschatzi is a vocabulary trainer without accounts or cloud sync. It processes:

  • Learning progress and review history, stored locally on the device in a SQLDelight database
  • Advertising data and device identifiers, processed by Google AdMob to show interstitial ads around review sessions; ads are not shown to Pro subscribers
  • An anonymous app user ID generated by RevenueCat to handle purchases and Pro entitlements
  • Your IP address, technically processed when the app fetches vocabulary decks and cards from the content API

AdMob advertising rests on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), collected through Google's consent dialog before the ads SDK starts; on iOS the app additionally requests App Tracking Transparency permission. Vocabulary delivery, learning progress, and purchases are processed to provide the service you request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Recipients and processors

  • Google AdMob: interstitial advertising, including device identifiers and ad-related data, only after the consent dialog
  • RevenueCat: purchase and subscription handling under an anonymous app user ID
  • Cloudflare: hosts the vocabulary content API (Cloudflare Workers); requests contain no personal data beyond the technically required IP address
  • Apple and Google: payment processing in the App Store and on Google Play; platform diagnostics may be available through App Store Connect and Google Play Console

Storage and duration

Learning progress stays on the device until you delete the app. Wortschatzi has no accounts and no cloud sync.

Deletion

Delete the app to remove locally stored learning progress from the device. Purchases and subscriptions are managed through your App Store or Google Play account.

Your rights

Where legal requirements are met, data subjects may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and complaint to a data protection supervisory authority.
